2014 stock head HDMI input

Would like to find a way to feed the HDMI output from my android phone to the stock head for GPS app display. Would the harness for the Beatsonic rear camera assist with this, doubt it? The other catch is that this is a leased car so I don't want it to be too invasive.

You'll need a new headunit. The OEM headunit will not have provisions for HDMI. At all. Ever.

There is actually a separate Video Input provision for the Scion headunits that Subaru BRZ does not have.

Although, it is not an HDMI input and uses RCA cables, you may convert the HDMI from the smartphones to RCA and make it work.

Here is the product to activate the video input. It will add a new menu item on your touch screen called "VTR"

You will also need the TVK-61 to tell the headunit that the parking brake is connected and engaged. From the factory, there is no wire telling the headunit about the state of the parking brake. Without this, the screen will only show black.

Now, the headunit is ready to take a video to show on the screen. Depending on what you will be feeding into the headunit (video, audio or both) what you will need will differ.

For example,

To mirrior your iphone 5 or 6,

You will also need:

By doing the above instead of using the backup camera video input to show video, you will not see the "Check Surrounding before Backing Up" message on the bottom and you will also be able to feed Audio. In addition, you can chose the video input option from the headunit's menu.
