The Ferrari 458 Speciale

Haven't been reading a lot about cars but I've been following this beast for a while. Im amazed by a few things in this car(not like the regular 458 didn't impress) but one thing to me seems impossible ( not any more)

This engine has a compression ratio of 14:1 , i always thought anything over 13:1 usually needed race gas or high octane gas to keep it usable and not blow up ( well for my bikes ).

Another cool feature is the new "Traction" setting called side Slip Angle Control (SSC) where i think the car gives you a certain angle that you can keep on sliding with.

now if only they would put a stick in it

Imho this is one of the most beautiful cars out there, its nothing over the top ( It doesn't scream hyper car) i don't have any seat time in it but i hope i get the chance to, i heard the suspension isn't too harsh (over the regular 458), and the weight saving is livable with. I lived with a 458 and managed to daily that thing and its nothing but a joy, this might be a bit harder to daily but if you love this thing, why not ?

I think for us guys who can't afford it..... it's our job as fellow car enthusiasts and petrol heads to chant in unison "do it!!, do it!!, do it!!"

I think Ferrari hit the nail on the head with a 5 ton mallet in regards to the Speciale, like you said not too over the top but just enough to let you know shit just got real on the track
