TRD engine oil

Was browsing TRD parts for 86 when I came to this. Apparently TRD also selling 0w30 engine oil for "performance".

Link:

Not like I am going to use it, neither I will be able to find it in this country I live in but just wondering if anyone else have tried it?

Also in this page seems that they are made by Total.

Interesting that it's made by TOTAL now rather than Mobil like the 5w40/10w40 is. Wont be cheap, no oil out of Japan is.

Maybe it's me, but something looks like it's off.

I know the first link states that this oil is ACEA A3 certified, and the second link mentions ACEA A3 as well, but the picture of the oil in the second link shows GF4 and it's impossible to have an ACEA A3 oil that meets GF4 (which is now superceded by GF5).

Are these different 0W-30's being discussed? Total isn't very poplular in N. America.

At a guess I would say this is based on QUARTZ ENERGY 9000 0W30 The newest PDS I can find is dated 2007. The do a "classic range of SM GF-4 but only in 5W30 so it could be some sort of hybrid or the ratings could just be lost in translation?

Motul do a very nice 0W30 http://www.motul.com/system/product_...pdf?1323961360
