BEST FRONT PIPE

Sorry for the caps, but yeah.. I wanted to ask you guys if you think a front pipe will increase the sound of the car significantly? I want to get a muffler delete and I was debating whether to get the headers first or the front pipe. I just want a really loud set up.

So for all you guys with a front pipe, do you think I should invest in getting one or am I better off getting the headers? If so, which brand would you recommend that is the loudest. Thank you.

any muffler delete + any catless front pipe = loud. A pipe is a pipe just get the cheapest in my opinion.

You could just run open headers if you were looking for the maximum douchebag setup. Wouldn't cost a dime. Hell, you could even MAKE money if you sold the rest of the exhaust to some chump.

P.S. I'm not even trolling. This was a serious post.

Well I'm personally of the mindset of just doing it right the first time and being done with it... that said, a decent UEL headerback system with some decently large diameter piping and no silencers would be loud enough that you could barely carry on a conversation in the cockpit. Because jet fighter.

You'd also gain a fair amount of performance out of the deal too with a tune. Win-win.

Get the headers and the frontpipe first (overpipe is your choice). If you think it is too civilized, then get a resonated catback. Getting a muffler delete will make the car fairly raspy. So be warned. I recommend the FT86Speedfactory setup, which sounds like sex and is very loud! It is a bit loud for me though.

I had the Berk single muffler delete and that was nearly enough to make me want to stick a gun in my mouth. I cant imagine anyone could even DD a catless + delete let alone a straight pipe. Stick with the catles and see what you think. Theyre only like $100 anyway

Shit that is too expensive. I might just go with what you said, delete and front pipe. Catless or resonated?

Yeah. The drone at 2400rpm was terrible.

Drone is a terrible thing. Eats away at your head. With that said, just save money and do the setup right. I hate the idea of just deleting everything. Makes the car sound exactly like a beat to hell Honda with the headers disconnected.

I bought the Perrin Resonated 3" and 3" Catted Front Pipe, and I think it's just about perfect for a DD. No drone, which is the important part.

After headers/overpipe/tune, I will be at maximum power to minimum douchebag ratio. That is loud on throttle, and quiet enough to hear myself think while cruising.

But do what you want. You're in IL, and very far from me.

Personally I would save up money, instead of going with the cheapest route. While it may seem appealing to have a loud car for 300 bucks, your car won't sound as good as it could. With a good setup, you can have a car that is fairly quiet for DD, but loud when accelerating.

If you are dead set on this though, I would try to get a frontpipe with a cat or a resonator(go with a cat if you are doing headers without a cat, so you aren't smelly). That way drone is reduced and so is rasp.

It's just that my friend has a muffler delete and borla headers and it has the nice boxer sound that is also very loud. I really liked it, sounded like a V8 muscle car honestly.
