Power window fault in cold weather

The passenger side window dropped down halfway when the door was opened, instead of just an inch. Then the power window switches flashed in fault mode. The auto up function was disabled as if the window had auto reversed.

Resetting that BTW is easy, just put the driver or passenger side window all the way down, then raise it by holding the up switch, holding it for a few seconds after the window is fully up. Window switches stop flashing g and the auto up/down works again.

Anyone else had this fault show up?

Not this fault. But what happens to me is: they don't go down at all (frozen) and they don't reset until I restart the car. Not a problem for me since I just drive 30 minutes to work and when the windows are frozen shut I'm not interested in opening them.

The flashing light may be a problem for some people but they are so dim I don't even notice them.

Not on my FR-S, but it did happen on my wife's Saturn, after I had disconnected the battery. The "hold" fix worked.

This morning (15 degrees or so) my window dropped 1/4 and froze. The auto lights on the buttons flashed. Neither window would go up or down. After it sat in the parking lot at work all day with the window cracked, I restarted the car in warmer temps (30 ish) and the windows are fine.

Weird.

My passenger side window doesn't go down at all. Driver side window when I open and close the door, it goes down that little distance when door open but when I close it it doesn't go back up.
