cel after front pipe install

hey guys.. i installed an invidia catless front pipe just over a week ago. yesterday i got a CEL just after pulling away from a parking lot. the car was already warmed up. the car seemed like it was bogging down right before the CEL went on. once the CEL was on i havnt really felt a difference in drivablility. Should i remove the front pipe to resolve issue? should i take to the dealer to reflash ecu?

Just wondering what you guys would do

For $15 you could have bought a Bluetooth OBD 2 reader and the Torque app for android. You can read and clear codes with that. It's a cheap investment for an invaluable tool that will save you time and money. Seriously. This should be a mandatory thing for anyone modifying their car.

If you have an Android decice, Torque Pro is the best app out. For the OBD reader, almost any ELM327 bluetooth will work. ELM327 can be found on ebay for $7.99 and Torque Pro will run you $4.99.

And don't go to the dealer. They might not care about it but you also may be given a hard time.

You can also go to autozone and read the code. Did you disconnect the battery after the install?

Autozone no longer reads codes as per new California law. Shitty, but true.

i disconnect my battery after the install. i re-connected the battery and left her running for about 5 min. i had no issues for a week. then randomly.. cel. once i saw cel, i disconnected the battery and tried that method again... still cel. so looks like i got some research to do with this app and bluetooth device.
