Anyone install a full exhaust on a sport bike?
This is a stretch but I really like the community here so I thought I would try asking this site. I have an 09 Honda cbr600rr that I just installed a two brothers full exhaust on. There are two exhaust servos, a top and bottom. The instructions were pretty vague on what to do. We endedup disconnecting the two bottom cables hooked to tthe bottom servo and then removed the bottom servo altogether considering you can't put it on the new mid pipe. The top servo wasn't touched at all. So my question is, are the servo cables just suppose to dangle now? Will this throw any lights?

Think you'll have to query a honda bike forum to get specific clues.
I've got bikes, but no idea what to do with after market zorst on a CBR600,

Yea I was looking around on the 600rr forum. From what I can tell, if I leave the cables dangling it should be ok. But I would love some more insight on the topic.

If you leave them flailing, they might hit something and limit travel, sparking an ECU fault.
Might want to put some tubing over them attached to the cable housing. If you can, keep them straight as possible. Coiling or bending may bind the ends up. All I can think of.

I've got an 07 600rr. You can follow the cables up to the servo motor under the seat. You can disconnect the cables from the servo motor. Do not remove/unplug the servo motor or you will throw a FI light. If you want to remove the servo motor, you will either have to buy or make a servo plug fix for it. There are posts on how to do this on 600rr.net. I'm over on that forum with the same username.

Most of the motorcycle forums have been like that since the economy tanked. People just don't have the expendable income for motorcycles since they aren't viewed as a primary source of transportation like they are in other countries. It's still relatively active though. . .the WERA boards are pretty active as well. |
