VLED review
So I have retrofitted almost every bulb in my car with VLED bulbs (low beams are the only bulbs not LED). The most notable bulbs (performance wise) have been the V3 Triton switchbacks, rear red blinkers (in lieu of amber), and the CXA 1800 lumen DRL/High Beams. I originally had a set of VLED DRLs that were for nothing more than looks, the loss of a functional high beam left me wanting. The CXAs perform great as high beams, but may be a little on the bright side for DRLs. The Switchbacks and blinkers are amazing. Everything was fairly easy to install with the exception of the CXAs, the tabs needed to be filed down just a tad to get them to fit into the housings. Install of the flasher unit wasn't quite as hard as I thought it might be after reading some posts on here.

English is quite a funny language isn't it? People use words and modify definitions unannounced, rather looking to context to figure out the definition meant. If enough people adopt a new definition or use of a word, the language changes, it's very impressive. The definition of retrofit is actually, "to furnish with new or modified parts or equipment not available or considered necessary at the time manufacture". The same kind of change has occurred in the retail industry with the term "dead stock", the two words have been merged together and the meaning changed from "farm tools", to "inventory not selling". Please don't just be "that guy", trying to inflate your ego by assuming you know more, or are better than the next.

Haha, no hard feelings, I understood what you meant. I felt obligated to respond because I am an English major (looking to teach secondary English).

In all seriousness though, returning to the topic at hand, I am very impressed with the quality and performance of the aforementioned bulbs. I am waiting on a set of H11 bulbs to "guinea pig" with. I will post pictures of beam spread, output, and cutoff when they arrive.

I did a year of teaching English in Korea (more like drinking in Korea lol). I would not like to re-up my subscription to that. |
