Question about wheel fitments
I'm planning to change my fr-s' wheels to 18 inches.
Does anyone if 18x9 or 18x9.5 will fit both the front and rear? If not, what's the maximum? And are they good for 245/35 or 255/35 tires? Thank you |

You need to consider many things, not just width.
Are you running stock springs or lowered? Stock struts, or coilovers? Willing to change your alignment to make them fit? What's your end goal with it? Do you just want a certain look, or are you after track performance? With 9 or 9.5" wheels up front you're either going to need coilovers, or a different offset that'll poke them out more.

My plan now is to mod her that can occasionally go for a track day but mostly a daily driver. To be honest I'm totally new about modding a car so my question might seem stupid. Thank you for giving me an idea that I need to do something else first rather than just changing my wheels. |

Have a look at the wheel fitment thread, you'll get lots more insight there.

You need to tell us the offset. Otherwise, there is nothing we can help.

My thought is to change to 245/35R18 or 255/35R18 rubber, and try to find wheels that will fit both the car and the tires. I don't know if it's right to think this way but ya... Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk now Free |

The offset will tell us how much the wheel will poke out or not. Thus in return will tell us if your wheel fits or not. its the distance between the hub mounting point and the centerline of the wheel. so this information is pretty vital to estimate fitment.

So it seems I need to find a specific wheel and look up for it's offset first, then we will see if it fits. Thank you very much |
