Late 2013 FR-S Pioneer unit, add Navi?
Hi all,
I bought a late 2013 FR-S, and it came with the Scion ( Pioneer AXCP-Q14U T10015 ) touchscreen head unit. It has the 'MAP' button, but since I didn't order the navigation option, it obviously doesn't work. My theory is that there just isn't a GPS plugged into the back, and that I can purchase one, plug it in... and be good to go. Does anyone know if they actually mingle with the software on these things? Seems like as a cost/time measure, they'd just leave out the GPS and the software displays that message instead of a "No GPS Plugged in" message. |

Apparently this is the same head unit as the 2014's. Anyone that has swapped one of these out know what the back inputs look like? I can't seem to find much info on the specs.

I sold mine for like $350 on ebay.
Took that and bought a pioneer. Much better option. |

My dealer says it's just a software flash to enable the navi function. After reading those threads I think he's wrong.
