ca-fi knock off questions
So I got my ca-fi ebay knock off head unit in the mail today and wired it up with the metro wiring harness, antenna adapter, and the dash kit to get it to fit. However, I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping one of the experts or someone else who has this headunit installed can answer for me.
First question: I cannot seem to get it to recognize my iPod for some reason. I used an adapter plugged into the wire which plugged into the stock unit and then plugged the adapter into the rear usb port on the head unit which came with the usb wifi adapter plugged into it. I am wondering if this usb port is solely for the wifi adapter? I also tried plugging the ipod into the front usb plug in the bottom left of the front of the unit but it still isnt recognized. Second question: after getting the unit all screwed back into the dash for some reason the dash panel wont clip back on fully. It seems like the unit is too tall and is stopping the panel from getting fully clipped back on, has anyone else experienced this or figured out a way to get it back on? thanks in advance for any advice. |

He didnt buy a Ca-Fi. He bought one of the knock offs. Ca-Fi has a direct fitment Dashlinq model and 2 Universals that require the trim pieces. The 621000 V2 with Capacitive Screen that has Torque via USB and the Dashlinq Universal that doesnt support Torque.
