OEM Audio Plus installation & BRZ trunk liner question

I've heard the OEM Audio Plus subwoofer unit does not fit with the BRZ rubber trunk liner in place. Anyone have a solution to this that isn't simply not using the liner?

I have the trunk mat from a 2008 STI wagon and had to trim mine. The bass unit is a tight fit.

I had to remove the weathertech trunk liner completely. I left the Toyota (Scion Mat is for sale in the classfieds) Trunk Liner on top of the tire/tire tools/jack folding cover. It's tight but it fits. I'm sending the measurements and weathertech mat back to manufacturer and asking for a custom one for this application.

Same here, I just cut mine back a bit, works out fine if you plan to keep the OEM+ woofer box...

Now that you have an O+ system, does it fit?

No, it had to be cut to fit.

Thanks for the update. Looks like weathertech is the only safe fit without cutting, according to the previous post.

Just curious, how easy is it to get to the spare tire with that O+ system installed?

Without an all-weather mat, it's easy. Just pop the rear seat down, fold up the left side of the floor, slide the floor to the left, and pull out. It's possible to do without the seat down, but you'll have to bend the floor quite a bit.

On the other hand, if you're changing a tire, what's a few bolts to remove the sub, if necessary?
