OEM mud guards
Anyone with OEM mud guards? How do you like them? Was the rear hard to install without removing the wheels?
I just got some today... Sent from my Samsung S4 using tapatalk |

I was wondering the same things. Also: is weather tape needed, does it form to the curves of the panels, and how is the quality?

Well, I installed the OEM mud guards on my white FR-S and I think they look just fine .... they sort of "blend in" with the black wheel well panels.
They are good quality .... for mud guards .... and they fit nicely. The front wheels DO NOT need to be removed for installation, just turn them. I tried all my best "around the corner" tools to get that inner fastener hole drilled/punched in for the rear guards without removing the wheels .... I finally gave up and removed the rear wheels. I think they work pretty well for helping keep the sides of the car claener. humfrz |

I've got them too, one of the first mods when I got mine a month or so ago. I have a white 86 and they look okay on them, blend in like they are standard. They function as I thought they would. Though they are the only thing I've scrapped on a gutter so far.
Easy to install, had left over bits. I brought them from a local person who had an aero kit and couldn't use them. But can get them from eBay or even my local Toyota dealer sell them. Top quality or standard OEM quality. Fit very snuggle to the car and after a month of use no movement. |

I managed installing the rears with tires on, just turned the drill bit by hand, if the proper size won't bite in, start with a smaller one. Good fitment, love the look. Good luck.

You can also heat a drill bit with a torch and just push it through the plastic. Makes a clean hole and no need to remove the wheels. Just don't let anything hot contact the tire.

I installed a set. I did remove the rear tires for easier access, just turned the front wheels was enough.. They look good and blend in well with the raven look.

I also installed them and they look great. I removed the rears to make it more easy to install.

OEM mud guards are great, great quality and great fit.
do urself a favor... remove ur back tires and install all the screws... they feel flimsy without the last nut installed. check the DIY section for the mud guard install |
