has anyone tried this staggered RPF1 setup?
I don't know if it's possible, but I was wondering if anyone out there has tried something like a 17x8 +35 and a 17x9 +35 Enkei RPF1 setup on their cars before.
Wrap in 225 or 235 series rubber all around for a more balanced feel considering the modest power of the stock engine. Thoughts? Even better, pics? |

i was thinking the same thing except in et45. im already running 17x9 et45 square on oem strut. so the 17x8 up front might let me run crash bolts in the front to get more camber. too bad the deep dish look only comes in the 9in width.

I briefly contemplated doing this. No doubt it would exacerbate any understeer. I wonder to what degree?
Maxed out OEM crash bolts with OEM wheels/tires gives me .7" clearance to the spring perch. 17x8 +45 moves the inside of the tire 1/2 inch in minus the 3mm change in offset. This would theoretically result in a new perch clearance of 3/8 inch. 17x9 +45 rear and 17x8 +45 front would be just about flush with <1.5 degrees camber. |
