Auto-off Headlights?

I'm confused. I thought our cars didn't have Auto-off for the headunits? According to http://www.scion.com/cars/FR-S/features/# it says "PROJECTOR BEAM HEADLAMPS WITH AUTO-OFF". Am I missing something?

The DRLs on my FR-S go off when the ignition is shut off.

However, the other lights don't seem to ..... till the battery runs down ....

The DRL's automatically turn off when the Parking Brake is on. Other then that manually turn your headlights off when u shut your car off or the car will make an annoying sound to remind you the lights were left on

Good to know.

However, I reckon, if it takes a person 20 minutes to get up to the door of their house, they should be driving a Buick ....

It's a generous amount of time, but it's only an emergency feature so that you don't drain your battery.

My Toyota 86 Lights turn off automatically when you hit the start/off button.

They come on automatically if they are set to on when you start the car again.

Not sure where 20 minutes came from...that's way off. From that thread:
