non-squaling tires

Hi,

I'm looking for non-squealing tires, can anyone advise what to take?

Michelin Primacy HP and Wanli S1063 are both not usable for me.

thanks!

All tires are going to squeal if you push them enough. That said, I've found that the really sticky tires are quieter until you push them WAY past their limits.

My old Hankooks never squealed. They were Hankook Ventus HRII, but I don't think they make them anymore. Maybe their newer ones are similar.

If you rub vaseline all over them they won't squeal.

You'll have to re-apply every 10-15 mins.

thanks, I might inform me on these.
If tires shouldn't squeal I shouldn't drive a GT86
I have installed a Cusco shorter FD and now tires tend to squeal just too much.

Other question: does someone know what makes a tire squeal?

Exactly. Maybe take your own hint.

Tires squeal when they are slipping against the road surface.

For instance: 1) When the tires are spinning faster than the car is going. 2) When the tires are stopped but the car is still going forward. 3) When the car is traveling in a different direction than the wheels are pointing (a slide). 4) On some cars the caster on the front wheels will cause a slight squeal while making tight turns.

All tires will squeal when there is no more traction to be had. Squealing tires means you aren't getting the best performance out of your car. You need to drive it better.

Squealing tires isn't something to be proud of if you're interested in driving well.

It depends on the rubber.

If you have a softer compound you will have less squeal... Race rubber or a high performance summer tire will not squeal like the stock rubber.

The stock rubber is hard, will last longer, is better in wet and cold, and will chirp chirp chirp a lot.

Bridgestone RE-11A. If that still makes too much noise, Hankook RS3. If STILL too much, Nitto NT01.

I don't recommend any in the rain except the RE-11A, and even that, only light rain.

I owned a 2006 c6 z51 corvette for two years, those OEM tires have never squealed ever, even with traction is fully turned off, and they have a great grip.
