So to anyone who thinks the fr-s will never be fast enough to be a truly "fast car", I just watched some vids on youtube that are gaining rapid popularity... just search Evo 10 vs FRS... there is a guy who has a turbo FR-S with 265 whp and he's walking evos... from a dig of course the evos have the advantage but at about 60 where weight becomes a factor... the FR-S steams by. a Must-watch!!!!

I think it is impressive, but one can always make the argument that the Evo could easily be made faster as well. |

It always comes down to "you can make anything faster". Everything I can do to my 2.0L 4 banger BRZ, a corvette can do to it's 7.0L v8 and make more.
An evo 8/9 makes about 215-220 awhp stock, an evo X makes 225-240 awhp stock. It's really just a benchmark because the evo is one of those care that are considered fast as fuck.

yea not really impressive.... and I definitely do not consider a stock evo a fast car. Its a quick car at best.

I'm a fan of both cars. I actually have an evo myself. it all depends how much you want to put in it. My Evo is quick but I wouldn't consider it a monster yet.

True but what I'm really trying to get at is that throwing a turbo kit on a stock 200hp 2700lb car to beat a stock Evo is not impressive at all.

That said, I love the FRS and always have a blast when I get the chance to drive it. It's such a fun little car, I can't even imagine how awesome it'll be if we turbo'ed it.....lol I bet a FRS/BRZ with 300+ HP would be a beast at a track day. I still drool over the Crawford Performance video with Matt Farah Driving the 450HP BRZ ![]() -Nick C.

i owned a evo X mr a few years back and stock WHP was under 230. it is amazing how fast a FR-S/BRZ gets with some power under the hood. i would say the only draw back is the cost, because for as much as it costs to get the FR-S/BRZ to that power level you put that in the evo and it becomes a monster. I had about 4500$ in my old evo X MR and it put down 320whp/312wtq and was a monster on the street, even with the weight. But its still awesome to see these cars with as bad a wrap it gets about straight line acceleration put a hurting on cars that "Should" beat it in a straight line.
