Wheel hitting tie rod?

Someone brought up that my new wheels may hit the tie rod at full lock. Wondering if anyone can verify before I pick these up and the don't function.

17x9 +44 running stock 215 tire
Car is 1.2 inches lower all around.
Thanks

They will likely rub at full lock. We know for sure that the 17x9+45 enkei RPF1 hits the tie rod at full lock. I doubt 1mm is going to make enough of a difference. You might get away with it with a 3mm spacer, or deal with the minor rub.

Please get a wider tire.

Why do I feel that polite remark had just a small hint of disdain for a highly stretched tire ....

Lol I agree. Just budget conscious right now. I'm not about the stretched stance shit either. Maybe I'll reconsider my size options. I want the wheel close to the fender but want full functionality. Know any good fitments off hand?

I am looking at 17x8 in RFP1 instead of 17x9 myself

i can confirm this but will say that it hasn't been an issue. however when i went 245/40 on 17x9 et45 rpf1 the tires hit the oem lower spring perch too. ymmv depending on the tire brand as well.

it will depend on the actual design of the wheel as to whether it hits...

I have the +45 17x9 and brought up this tie rod rubbing issue.

It is very close either way.

with a new alignment and a slight toe in there is no rubbing under normal usage. it is only if your car is very low and or compressing the front suspension at full lock (this doesn't happen on the street) and pretty much not at the track unless you are messing around.

I was going to get 8s for the front but it hasn't scrubbed since the last alignment... mine is only ~25mm lowered. it is not an issue for me anymore...
