Finally sat in a BRZ today

WOW

The interior was so nice, metal touches, soft touch everywhere. It felt SO upmarket for its price point. And seemed bigger then I thought it would be.

And the back seats are more comfy then they look lol

Just sharing my joy!!! Hope everyone can experience this soon

Yep, I sat in one too at a nearby dealer in Kansas. Everything feels substantial when gripped in your hand and the aggressive bolstering and high wall-like door sills wrap you in the c0ckpit... it feels like a serious sports car. Better interior than other sports cars I've had with similar or higher price point (MR2 Spyder and G35).

G35

Shitty plastic with leather to distract you.

How are the bolsters compared to Evo X Recaros? Any photos of the interior?

Why? Wouldn't the Premium have the same feel: "metal touches", "soft touch everywhere", and "substantial" feel?

It doesn't have the leather on the door panel or the leather/alcantara seats.

i remember seeing the interior of the BRZ, i was also impressed.
It DEFINITELY is much better than G35.
However, the silver trim is the thing i don't like the most.

and the seats look awesome, even though i preferred flush headrest and not angled...i probably will not switch the seat out

Yea the interiors should be the same except for the seat...well with the options at least. The stainless steel door sill is one of the options that the demo cars seem to all have.

I'd like to see a picture of an "R" spec, I wonder how much the lack of leather on the steering wheel and shift knob hurt the feel of quality.

It looks like in this video that the Premium still has the leather on the door panel.

I don't think this car has metal touches. It is just painted silver plastics I bet and the interior doesn't look like it's that upmarket. It looks like a 20k+ interior to me.

As an ex-X owner, I don't think anything will compare to the bolstering in the X's seats. Even my Boss' Recaros are wider with less pronounced bolstering for the average American's posterior.

You are probably right. The Evo X seats are great (for OEM). The driving position & line of sight is horrible in the Evo X. As expected, as it's not a sportscar. The BRZ's seating position looks proper and steering wheel's telescopic adjustment is much welcomed. I can't wait to sit in the BRZ (and get rid of the Evo X)!
