Unless you're getting the car for below MSRP you're not going to get the Limited model out the door for $30k. Did a quick check and only Elk grove has a Limited model available and they are still marking up their price to $32,260.

yeah, you might want to consider buying from out of state if you are looking for a better deal. Check out the CO > CA link in my sig for more info on the process. You said "order" so it sounds like you might be willing to wait for the right car as opposed to wanting to walk right in and drive off in one same day. That kind of spontaneity will cost you around here.

You don't see the link to CO > CA Cartel in the middle bottom of my sig? Or do you not see sigs at all. Maybe it's your personal setting?

Hi jacked!!! Filthy pirates! Anyways, I was asking what you guys paid. I was hoping to get prices paid. And yes, 30 OTD might be a pipe dream but I had just bought a cx5 from maita Mazda and was hoping they would be good to me at maita subaru and do me the favor of at least saying thank you after reaming me

Most of us paid around 25-35k, I'm going to assume. If you are looking at FRS bone stock OTD would be around 27-29k depending on your area that you live in (No negotiations). For BRZ, if you are really lucky, you can probably get one OTD ~25-26k. If not, then expect around 35k OTD after markup. If you really want the 86 for cheap, follow Pmok's method of getting one out of state. It would be a whole lot cheaper and more selections to choose from (BRZ's not sure if it will work for FRS).

If you buy in Colorado, you can grab a BRZ limited 6spd < 30k OTD after TTL and shipping to California.

MSRP of a Limited is $28,265 right? Getting a BRZ at MSRP in the Bay area is a good deal already. You would need serious clout to get a better deal than that here. Add about $2500 in taxes and you're already over $30K. So yeah in order to get a deal below MSRP you probably should talk to dealerships in Reno or in Colorado. Then either ship it back here or drive it home, either way you will still save money over what you will have to pay here. Or suck it up and pay the markups if you can't wait/don't want to jump through the extra hoops.

Since it's already July, see if you can pre-order the 2014 and negotiate for MSRP price upfront. If not then try to get a 2013 when the 2014 model comes out and save some money.

Bone stock FRS in the Bay Area will be about $27.8k out the door for reference (give or take $100). That's an MSRP vehicle ($25,255 not whiteout) with Santa Clara County taxes applied as well as "dealer doc fee" which I chickened out on.

If you get the military/recent graduate discount they'll add that amount to your downpayment, basically free money. Just something to consider if the Subaru dealers are jerking you around or if you realize the add-ons aren't worth it (most people HATE the Subie nav unit).
