need help with wheel/tire fitment

I ordered a set of 18x9 +38 wheels and I've been trying to get them on but Discount Tires is telling me the wheels won't fit the front.
If I get a 245/35/18 tires all around will the wheels fit the front?

Yes. I have 18x9.5 +38 w a 235 but could (will) run wider than 235. What size is on it that they say wont fit?

Every Discount Tire I go to says their computer says the 18x9 +38 wheel won't fit the BRZ so they can't even do a test fit on it.
I'm trying to go 245 all around. I won't need spacers right?

They should be fine. There are numerous cars with that fitment on the forums.

Edit: sorry I thought you meant 9.5... 9" should fit fine. But here's the 9.5" examples I dug up.

Their stores go with a strict guidline to prevent wrong fitments which in many cases are to help consumers from making wrong decisions. We have sent your situation over to them to review. Hopefully they can change the parameters so that in the future it is possible to install 18x9 wheels.

Update. They got back to me indicating that their system will update next week to allow for this variance to accept installation with this size wheel. Hope this helps out!

I am on: 18x9.5 +38 (which would basically be like you running a 18x9 +32) on 245/40/18 on all four. I will be swapping to 255/40/18 in the rear, if not all 4. Just as an FYI my rear was rubbing on the bumper, it wore down within about 100 miles on the inside. Right where the plastic black push tab is.

I lowered the front 10mm more after an alignment so my camber wont be exactly what it was. But before lowering the car more i was on -2.0 Front, -2.5 Rear. I plan on pulling the front out to about -2.0 again this week when i update my alignment.

Overall it was "poking" a bit more than i wanted. I personally dont care to do heavy camber & agressive fitment but i still considering it acceptable. I wish i had around a +42 offset for mine, or a little more. Keep in mind however that all tires have a different contact patch size and fitment might be slightly different.

My front:
