Paint chip/scratches

I purchased my BRZ a month ago and I was unhappy to come back to see that someone had scratched my baby and ran off.

I'm completely new to paint restoration. I bought touch up paint through automotive touch up. What do I need, what works the best, and what steps do I take?

Thanks for the help!

The first thing I would do would be to use some of Meguiars Scratch X 2.0 and rub the hell out of that area. That will let you know how much damage is done and what could be fixed with a little elbow grease. Some of that looks like it will buff out. Me personally I would just pay a proffessional to fix the rest.

There's definitely paint chipped off. I'd rather do it myself and learn for the future.

I'm pretty picky with my cars, it's not on a body line, so it won't hide easily. I would paint the bumper, but that's just me. I don't mind rock chips at all...something like that would drive me crazy.
