Exclamation Exhaust Issue

So I was up all night installing both the Perrin Catted Front Pipe and Overpipe..both the fp/op went on pretty smoothly and there were 0 leaks coming from both. But then when I went to go line up the front pipe with my m7-catback it sat flush but, there was a leakage coming from the top where the two pipes connected.

My question is, is it alright to drive around 10-20 miles to a reputable exhaust shop and have them fix it up? The leak is happening where the midpipe and frontpipe connect.

Yes, it is alright to drive with a leak between those two pipes. Don't worry about it.

the only probelm that should cause would be maybe some soot build up and maybe a fried gasket if you drive hard. but i doubt that much wold build up in a 10-20 mile drive.

i had a nut vibrate loose off of my front pipe overpipe connection about 150kms from home on a mountain drive with friends, and i drove it home rather hardly and just replaced the fried gasket. although i dont recommend doing that.

sounds good, thanks for the replies...

Any idea what might be able to fix it? Seems like the m-7 midpipe was made specifically for the OEM frontpipe in that it looks like it requires some sort of donut gasket to prevent leaks.. Problem is the perrin front pipe has flat flanges and so does the M7, so the gasket they provided didn't want to seal out any leaks.

you should have re used the donut gasket from your oem front pipe most likely. This mistake has been make dozens of times by other members.
