Raised dent on my hood

Just noticed a slight raised dent on the passenger side of my hood. It is close to the hinge on that side. What is really weird is when I opened the hood, the dent is not visible from the underside because it is covered by the structure underneath.
I had had it serviced last week at the dealer and know it was not there before that. They told me they will have their dent removal guy take care of it. Only thing I can figure is they opened it too far.

I'll try to post a photo, but on my white car it is not going to be easy.

Pictures would help but it seems to me like somebody tried to pull the hood closed with it still propped, like you would close a hood that has dampers

A tech may have left a tool or something else sitting in the engine bay under the hood and closed it. It may have pushed against said structure and the structure pushed against the skin... Hard to say without a photo.

This would have been my guess as well.

This seems reasonably accurate, I would have made this guess too.
