I'm continually told "they are out there" or "It can be done it just has to be custom"

whats the final verdict

your whole system would have to be 3" also or there is no point in having this.

In theory the exhaust could get smaller as it goes back because the exhaust gasses contract as they cool and take up less space.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 3" is overkill and simply not needed unless you're running boost, etc (i.e. 200WHP need not apply)??

Are you planning big power later?

This is true and I think for the average 300 whp pump gas kit a 3" over pipe isn't required. For the guys going for 400+ 3" all the way will absolutely make a difference. Can you still make big power without 3", yes, but the guys with 3" will make more.

I need a 3" over pipe!

Becuz K20 haha. Doesn't seem like this engine can benefit from it quite like the k series.

Yeh because 12.5:1 compression engines need a small diameter exhuast...troll somewhere else....does SEEM like you offer any valid information relevant to the thread.

Like I said Perrin said that there isnt the clearance to fit it. I think I read about 1 somewhere though...I would think it would be worth it based on other 2 liter NA motors and FI motors that see results with similar setups

and whats amusing is you said a similar thing in another 3" exhaust thread about the K20...
