Anyone heard from Subaru?
I see there are plenty who have had calls from Toyota with some more info, and it sounds like internationally things are happening, but anyone heard from Subaru Aus?

I just got off the phone with a Subaru dealership in the city. The guy said that he didnt have a price yet. He said that there will only be 300 in the country!! He said that they will cost more than the Toyota. He told me that there will be only one model and it will be loaded with everything. So there won't be a low spec. And if what he said is true about only 300, they won't have to make the car affordable. That's roughly two cars per dealership in the country I would imagine.
And I already know that Toyota will be getting at least 1500 cars this year. It will be easier to find a Toyota.

Hmmm interesting.
Seems, given the relative interest level on here, that could make sense. It feels like 10:1 people interested in the 86 over the BRZ? So Subaru doing a high spec expensive version fits with that here. Having said that, Nick Senior was quoted as saying that this would be a car for 'someone who couldn't afford a WRX in the past'... but that doesn't really gel with that same statement you mention that there would be one spec and it would be fully loaded... Wait and see I suppose! |

I rang a local dealer yesterday they had no clue, suggested in Sept they might know something!
I was thinking of dining Docklands in Melbourne tomorrow, since they are a factory Subaru outfit they might actually know something but who knows! Pretty poor that people are able to pre-order Toyota's and Subaru haven't given anything in the way of details out... |

In my opinion, both Toyota and Subaru's marketing strategy for Australia is very poor. It's a shame because the car is literally almost here and hardly anyone knows about it. It's like a big family that has a gimp kid living in the basement that no one talks about.
