Tires question

Searched and its possible im overlooking it but I was shocked there isnt a tire thread here. Possibly picking up a set of RPF1 17x9 +35 and need some tires to go with it. I was looking at either the Dunlop ZZII or the Hancook RS3. Will be doing some autocross and track days when I can. Was wondering is weight considered when choosing a tire? Those two seem to be some of the more popular choices, but cannot seem to find weights anywhere listed. Are the Dunlops worth the premium over the Hancooks? Or are there any other really good tires out there to be looked at as well? The size im looking at are 245/40/17, but I see others running 225/45/17. Being completely new at modifications and participating in track days are there benefits and drawbacks to each one? Any help would be appreciated.

Tirerack.com has FULL specs (weight included) for both those tires, in all sizes they make.

If you're getting a 9" wheel, get 245/40's, if you're getting an 8" wheel go for 225/45's.

ZII's are better in the wet than the RS3's and have stiffer sidewalls so you don't need as much camber with them.
