Transmission Dry Sound & Bogging

Hi everyone, I am not too technically inclined so I will explain what I think is happening and maybe you can help me decide if this is normal for this car or I need to take it in for service.

When I am starting off and letting the clutch out the transmission makes a sort of bogging sound at low RPM's. once the tach is over 2k it generally goes away. It reminds me of that spud you get when the car doesn't have enough power. My buddy @DJLtoronto said it reminds him of a dry clunking sound.

It also does this mildly into second gear but not as noticeable as first.

Would It help to change my tranny oil? Or do I need service work. Thank you.

Jay

It can't hurt to change your transmission fluid with some higher quality stuff. It really just sounds like you need to give it a little more gas and let the clutch out nice and slowly while slowly applying a little bit on the gas pedal. They will bog down if you are dumping the clutch or not giving it enough gas.

I just put in Motul Gear 300 for my 30K service and now my downshifts are so buttery! I would say if you think something has changed or their might be an issue it doesn't hurt to change the fluid.
