Drive train bushing advice

I have a set of sti motor mounts on order. I figured I might as well do them while I am changing out my header. Sti recommends that you change the transmission mount with the motor mounts. This makes sense as stiffer motor mounts and a soft tranny mount could cause some stress in various parts of the car. I already have a whiteline trans insert, subframe inserts, and diff inserts. My question is as follows: do you think my drivetrain is stiff enough as is to run the new motor mounts with no ill effect? Or is it worth the cash to buy the sti trans mount as well?

The STI trans mount would invariably be better than the stock mount, but you've already got a stiff piece of urethane jammed into the void of the stock mount. I wouldn't bother getting the STI mount unless you wanted every last bit of stiffness (and perhaps didn't want poly).

Save the $200 or however much it costs.

The sti mount would be nice because it would require no maintenance. But I think the whitleine material is fairly low maintence/low noise anyway. More then anything I just want to make sure the mounts and the bushing play nice together.

You have no idea (or maybe you did read my thread on motor mounts change), but this is an AWESOME decision. It will save you so much grief doing both at the same time.

Also, you will be fine with the Whiteline tranny mount insert. Don't sweat it.

Yeah, so it looks like I'm going to be doing motor mounts as soon as I change headers. (Not tracking, but going FI eventually.)

Thanks for going through the trouble for us @Sportsguy83!
