Bag of Chips ... What to Do?

Being that it was inevitable, I got a bunch of chips on my front bumper after 3500 miles. Just wondering what we're supposed to do about these things. Should I dab some clearcoat on them every time it happens to keep it "contained"?

My last car had a tiny hole in the clearcoat that spread into this giant eyesore. Should I expect something like that to happen? Maybe it's different b/c it went through both the clearcoat and the paint?

Should I just expect to repaint the bumper in the future? I think my current plan is to DD this car for a while before tucking it away and having it as a weekend cruiser/autox car. This strategy is tentative though.

Thanks

Indiana must have lots of rocks and salt during the winters. I'd suggest using a clear bra or covering your bumper with white plasti-dip.

Mine is getting beat up too, was thinking let it turn to shit then in 5 years or so get the car vinyled after I have all the pieces of body kit I want mounted, cause the price of 3m is pretty high where I live and it won't give total protection against rocks anyways

Dr.Colorchip then seal it. Too late for clear bra now if you got too many chips.

touchup paint from the dealer and a 000 artist's paint brush

if it keeps getting worse, and you consider a re-spray, look into getting paint protection film after

Number 1 reason I got clear bra on this car, front end just way to easy to chip. About 1500 miles on it now and she still looks brand new.

I have a billion chips on the front of my car as well. This being my first new car, I now regret not getting a clear bra. I plan on having the chips repaired and resprayed and then getting a clear bra put on. It is one costly mistake.

If I just leave them will I actually run the risk of them getting bigger over time?

Touch up paint and a tooth pick which is a lot cheaper than an artist brush. Get the paint in the chip but not on any of the good paint that surrounds the chip. Let dry and repeat till the chip is filled and then buff. Only you will know it's there.

Get some Dr.Colorchip to repair and then have it covered with PPf (paint protection film ). Plenty of shops in Indy that can fix you up.
