Whiteout stained by birds?

Has anybody else had issues with birds "staining" your Whiteout car? I will often notice little yellow circles on the car, which I can only assume is bird urine or something. After wiping them off there is still a very faint yellow stain in the paint, almost like it's somehow in the paint and not on the surface. I can't seem to get these stains off the car! AND, the car is Optiguarded, so I don't want to use anything too abrasive that will remove the Optiguard. Any ideas?

Cant confirm this. I acutally find the white quiet easy to clean. Dirt, dead Insects, bird crap etc all no issue. My car has a coat of liquid wax by meguiars on it, and even dead insects (with blood and all) wash of by themselfes when I drive in the rain. So its quiet strange for me that your opticoated car causes those issues.

Yeah it's strange. Maybe the birds here are radioactive or something...

Water beads up over the whole car no problem, and like you said insects, blood, regular bird crap, etc. literally just wipes right off with nothing but water. But these yellow stains stay behind even though the surface is totally smooth on top of them.

You might be mistaking bird droppings for rail rust. Any car that has been transported on a rail road car gets a certain amount of rail dust on their car. These are very fine, dust like pieces of metal. With time those dots of dust turn to rust. It happens to all cars but really is only noticeable on white cars. Your dealership is well aware of this issue and could have easily given your car a mild chemical wash when prepping the car but most don't as they figure the customer will either not complain or will take care of the problem themselves. I would go back to the dealership and complain.

I can confirm the faint yellow spot. I have one on my front bumper that was caused from a bug splat. I know it was a bug because I cleaned the guts off. But no matter what I did there is a very faint yellow spot left behind that will not come off.

I used clay bars on my last white car for those types of stains.

I can confirm this on my Whiteout and I also live in Florida. It's hard to say right now if it is rail dust, but the yellow spots became more evident with the coming of spring and lovebug season. Regular washing will not get the yellow spots to go away. What I have found to work the best is clay baring these spots.

My fiance drive's a superwhite '05 tC and had the same problem when we first moved down to Florida several years ago. We started with the Meguiar's Clay Bar kit when we first moved down and haven't looked back since. It is tedious to clay bar your car, but this will get all the yellow spots out 99% of the time, just requires some time and "elbow grease". Also, if you want to give your car a proper wax, I also recommend clay baring your car after a wash to give your car a smooth and clean surface for waxing. You will feel the difference in the surface of your paint before and after you clay bar.

I claybared my bug spot remnants, and it didn't work, so i broke out the buffer with a polishing pad which did the trick.

One of these days I'm going to invest in a buffer! Clay barring during the spring is so tedious

Don't bother. They go away eventually and you will spend FOREVER cleaning them. I just left one on the front to see what would happen. I was my car once a week. It was gone in a couple weeks. Just the "perks" of a white car I guess. I just have left them from then on out and sure enough, they are gone in a couple weeks.
