The easiest answer: Your local Subaru or Toyota dealer.

What happened to yours?

Already went to 2 different dealers and wasted 20 min of my life but no luck. Mine unfortunately was a fine meal for some rodent.

From what I see on the online parts catalog is that the boot is not a separate part from the wire... and that wire is $87. Looks like it is sold as a bundle with the battery wire.

Alternatively, you can buy a generic boot.

did you try Don Valley North Toyota? I find that sometimes even if other Subaru/Toyota dealers don't have certain parts, DVN will still have it.

I'd suggest searching E-bay for people selling OEM FRS parts from salvaged vehicles and asking if they have one.

The navy had this self-fusing silicone rubber tape back in the 80s. It was super expensive magical shit back then. I swear by it.

The stuff has been mainstream for a few years now. Rescue Tape brand is in all major hardware stores. It's thinner and not quite as strong as the original stuff but it will easily do the trick. It's easy to cut off but can be permanent if you don't mind that sort of thing. This is NOT the same as sticky gooey electrical tape.

Get a couple rolls and practice with it first. You'll quickly wonder how you managed to get along without it.

So who is going to taste their little rubber boot and see why these rodents are going after it? Maybe it's infused with nut flavor?
