Gap between Fog light & Bezel FIX
For those of you that installed the subaru outback foglights in your FRS and had a gap between the housing and the bezel...
![]() ...here is a quick fix (30 min tops) that will give a watertight seal for your fogs. What you will need : Universal Weatherstripping - $9.99 ![]() Black RTV $7.99 (or any black gasket maker) ![]() Diagonal Cutters ![]() Cotton Swabs ![]() Remove bezels from car. After bezels have been removed, cut a piece of weatherstripping out that will go around the housing and place it with half the width sticking out over the edge of the housing: ![]() On the bezels, cut the excess plastic off the edge of the hole to make it flush: ![]() Reinstall bezels. Readjusting of the weatherstripping might be necessary to make it flush with the bezel: ![]() Fill in the remaining gaps with the rtv sealant/gasket maker. ![]() Clean with cotton swabs and let cure 1 hour before driving. ![]() After 3 hours: ![]() The RTV fully cures in 24 hours. I would wait that long at least before a car wash. Good luck!

The gap is there to provide you freedom of movement when adjusting the fog lights.

Adjustment of the fog lamp aim is done internally in the housing. the gap is there due to the housing being for a Subaru outback not the FRS.

orly? I kinda figured all Subarus were like my STI with a threaded adjustment that moves the fog lamp as an entire unit. Oh well. I still don't see a point to filling in the gap.

Its just personal preference. I always find bugs lodged in the gap and it bothered me so I did something about it.

Good work! Although, every car I've owned with fog lights has always had a gap there similar to that. Come to think it of, the FRS is my first car WITHOUT them.

All kits have that gap. although this looks nice I dont see the point since air can no longer flow through to help keep the temp down. At some point the heat from those h11 bulbs are going to distort the assembly.
Noticed your using leds so I guess it no longer applies.

it works fine for your led bulb, but my h11 hid bulbs runs extremely hot. Although i would love the look without the gap, i have to leave it for ventilation :\
