Affordable vacuum?
I happened to be at AutoZone last week and saw a car vac that was $40-50. I thought that's not bad but assume I could find something better. A cord/plug is fine with me. Is there a good quality vac for under $70 or so? Thanks to anyone with knowledge.

Sorry, can you be specific as to the type you're looking for? Like a portable vehicle vac or more stationary shop vac?

Sorry, a stationary shop vac. I don't need anything industrial strength, just something that will suck up dirt.

I never liked cigarette lighter powered vacuum cleaners. It's better to wait to get home and use a wall powered one if it's disturbing enough.

Just get a Shop-Vac of your choosing. I bought a Shop-Vac Mini Hang Up and it's a tiny little thing. It was great in my apartment where I didn't have a lot of storage, and while I've been thinking about getting a larger one it does just fine for vacuuming my car and takes up very little space. I also used it to suck a LOT of water out of the rear floorboards of a vehicle with leaking sunroof hoses. The only downside to it is with big jobs you'll have to dump the canister more often.
Actually this is what replaced the model I have. More power, bigger canister. I paid less than half that when I got mine on sale though. I'm looking for something with either a LOT of suction or a very tiny tip for the little cracks between plastics in the interior.
The tiny end on this one looks useful. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Auto-Car-Vac...item4863245cd7 |

I have a couple:
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001O6RA6Q/ref=wms_ohs_product_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001O6RA6Q/ref=wms_ohs_product_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1[/ame] and http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-12...1270/202554972 The Rigid unit feels like it has double the suction - very strong. The Vacmasters form factor is much better though as it hangs on my wall and has a longer hose with more accessories and also a remote on/off switch. Although i must say NEVER leave your house with the remote enabled. I've come home to the vacuum on due to some type of RF interference from the neighbors. |

I like my ShopVac vacuum. I bought it at Home Depot or Lowes a few years back for something like $50. Does the job.

Use local carwash. Their vacuum is pretty powerful for a Dollar!

Went with this instead, figured for the price it would get the job done. [ame="http://www.amazon.com/ArmorAll-AA255-Utility-Wet-Vacuum/dp/B003M2F7NI"]Amazon.com: ArmorAll AA255 Utility Wet/Dry Vacuum: Home Improvement[/ame] |

I picked this up when it was $60. Good suction but really loud. |
