Best Affordable Aftermarket Alarm System

It's been a long time since I had to shop for an alarm system. What do you guys recommend? Something with a remote trigger notification system would be great.

I use to install Vipers all day long but i've been so out of the scene that I really have no idea what technological advancements there's been in this area for the last 10yrs. I liked that they were simple, reliable, and lasted years and years if installed properly.

Please help educate me. Thanks!

I also found this wiring diagram quite helpful.

I think any system like this is useless. If someone breaks in you car to steal things, they usually leave in 30 seconds taking everything they could find. RFID in the key makes it hard to steal the car itself unless it is towed away. Professional thieves also use jammers to suppress system with cellular modems (but they will unlikely bother with $25K car).
