Boost By Gear?

As we are advancing down the line of forced induction for these cars, a lot of big numbers are popping up.

With big numbers comes great loss of traction, I believe Spider-mans uncle said that once.

Anyway, given that we can only fit so much tire back there, is BBG something that we can explore to help with traction? Does anyone know whats involved in making this happen? Is it worth it?

Anyone that can shed some light on the subject, maybe some tuners who have dealt with this before, please do.

The car does have 3 computers that talk to each other, one being attached to the transmission (even manual). I dont know enough about tuning, but I would guess that someone VERY prevy with open source could come up with a HP limiter per gear to prevent loss of traction.

Simple answer: just dont turn off traction control, its easier.

Traction control will pull power long before it reaches the traction limit on the freeway in 6th gear. It'll feel like a big power loss, and suddenly 6th gear will feel like it's gone back to n/a.

From my experience though, for the majority of road-use conversions, you only really need low boost in first gear, so it's easier just to hook up a button to the gear lever/knob to drop to wastegate boost levels.

Electronic Boost controllers do this. TurboSmart has one that does.
