ELM327 power on all the time?

Sorry if this is already captured in the Torque thread, but I couldn't find this. Is it okay to leave the ELM327 connected all the time? I noticed that there are some LEDs flashing even without keys in the ignition. Will this drain the batteries much?

If the consumption is less than 50ma it should be fine assuming you use the vehicle regularly and the battery is healthy.
