Spring/Struts or Ground Control?

I am trying to figure out what I want to do suspension wise and was hoping for some advice. Here goes:

The car is really a weekend car. It may become my everyday driver at some point but right now I only drive it on the weekends and nice days. It will see HPDE's a few times per year. It may see some autoX here and there, but just for fun. Maybe a drift event... etc. I want a solid set-up, durable for everyday driving and fast enough to keep up with the higher power cars at the track (given the driver is up to the task). Adjust-ability is not that high on my priorities. I won't be changing alignment or ride height after the initial install. I am hoping to set it and leave it alone. I will adjust sway bar settings and dampening but that is about it.

Given all this, I am trying to decide between these two set-ups:

Set-Up 1:
Race Comp yellows
Koni insets
Whitleline Comp C's
About $1100

Set-Up 2:
Ground Control Street Coilovers with Bump Stops
About $1400

Each will have alignment parts and sway bar upgrades.

So which one would be better given my use? I am thinking the spring/strut combo would be better at the moment as I don't need the height adjust-ability the Ground Control's give. I also get the Comp C's and could buy a sway bar with the money I save. Am I missing something about the Ground Control's? Can I get a more aggressive spring/shock with Ground Control? Don't they use the same Koni Inserts that everyone else gets?

Thanks guys,
