My first weekend on the track! Texas World Speedway!
I had a great time on Saturday and Thursday running my car at TWS!
I have some mods.... Whiteline front sway full stiff Hotchkis rear sway #2 setting RCE Springs DBA Rotors, Stainless lines, Ate Blue and Ferodo ds2500 front pads stock rear Whitline shift bushing 17X8 +35 RPF1 with 245-40 RS3 Magnaflow exhaust TRD air filter Royal Purple fluids Car felt great with tons of potential. I feel like I have a lot more to discover about the car and the track. I was a bit concerned with how much wear I see from the brake pads...they are almost toast after two days. I will more than likely be changing them to carbotech. I had a problem missing shifts from 5th to 4th...this caused me to spin once when I got 2nd instead of 4th. It reminded me of my S2000 days. Loving the car, wishing for more power but I love the handling....Here are two videos...one from day one and my fast lap of day two.... That looks like a very fun, very high speed racetrack. Is the condition of the track as bad as it looks on the video? I see cracks and patches everywhere.

Nice run looks pretty planted. Are you running the 20 or 22mm whiteline front sway?

How did your RCE springs hold up? feel good out there? Wondering I have a set in the garage waiting to be installed.

But is is pretty safe with good runoff in all but one place (as you come back in to the oval section crossing the NASCAR back straight). It is an old fashioned, high speed road course that they don't make anymore.

On the 5th to 4th shift, try the backhanding technique. I used to misshift every once in a while on my E36 M3, which has notoriously sloppy shifting until I started using that technique and it helped alot. Backhanding allows the shifter to naturally center itself so you aren't inadvertently putting lateral pressure on the shiftknob and causing it to go too far.

When did you pick up an FR-S?!?!?! I remember when I came over to your place when I lived in Houston and help you bleed the brakes on your s2k when you had it, before the MSR Houston track day we went to. I've got an FR-S now too
How are you liking it?~ Austin / aCab |

TWS is insanely fun. Turn 1 is fantastic. My favorite line it the high line down the straight, then dive into turn 1 from up top, accelerating over the transition to keep the chassis settled, then braking. Turn 7 is probably one of my favorites out of any track I've been to.
