Does anyone have the Lachute catback?
I'm just wondering because I literally can't find any reviews of it on the forum.
![]() I've seen the two videos directly from Lachute but want an opinion from someone who actually has it. Thanks! |

I don't have it, but from my understanding from others, is it barely increases power (if at all) and is rather pricey, $1,200 for a catback. It is one of the best sounding units currently out there though.

Lachute was my first choice before Supersprint came along, i also heard there were no power gains, and there was a bit of a drone.
Still one of the best sound exhausts, but i haven't seen anything really positive from anyone who owns it. |

In an old post, @ScottDRFT got a reply from Lachute with some numbers.
They said "Gains are variable depending on the gas used. Approximately 6-7 lbs of torque and HP (Maha dyno)" That seems pretty in line with other exhausts right? But I'm most concerned about the sound. I like the deep growl but don't want it to be too loud! Wish they had a sound readings but can anyone chime in on the loudness? |

The Nameless offset axleback is quieter than the centered one, but gives it a much deeper tone to the exhaust. |

Nameless was the second choice. I read about the drone from the SRT and Evo exhausts but after listening to the recording from Lachute it didn't seem bad. Then again I don't really know what the drone would sound like but they keep it on cruise control and it seems quiet.

Nameless has a great exhaust and makes good hps, but it might be too loud for you. From hearing them both I would say 30% louder than lachute. I don't know for Nameless but Lachute has a lifetime warranty.
And for those that say it drone, give a link or sound clip of that cause I never heard that.

My problem with the Lachute isn't the sound or performance, but more the price. I can't justify paying that much for only a catback when I can get a full system from the header to the tips for that price.
The Nameless Offset Axleback is not very loud by itself. Even with adding the downpipe/overpipe, it makes it a bit louder, but nothing overwhelming. It doesn't say on their site that Nameless has a lifetime warranty, but I guarantee if I asked Jason@Nameless, he'd say they are covered for life. They've got outstanding service. I do really like the Lachute exhaust. I just think there are better options price wise than their system. This was one of the first systems I heard video wise that was really really good. |

I have one but haven't tested it yet cause my car is stored.
Compare to other cat-back, i thnik Lachute is high quality from what a i can see of the fabrication. Yes it is expensive but you pay for somethnig that as a life time warranty . For the gain, you can't have gain with only a catback. You must have a tune, intake, over pipe and front pipe, headers etc. to have a real gain. If you don't have all these thing don't think you will have 200whp... Our car is still very young tough, tuner are not fully 100% ''able'' to tune it right! There are still correction to make, proof is that many tuner send update over time... But if you pay attention to all other catback that existed, I think lachute is in top 5. EDIT : just chek some exhaust and their price. I look directly on the fabricator website. Perrin : 899$ for unresonated, 999$, for resonated Ark Grip : 1499$ :O Greddy : 809$ Lachute : 1199$ SRT : 1400$ ( yeah but it goes all the way to the header i know.) Invidia q300: 975$ Nameless : 409$ (axleback only) MachV muffler delete : 399$ You have to think about how many catback they are gonna sale. It's clear that Lachute won't sell as many exhaust as perrin because they are not as known as perrin. The catback lachute is 100% made of 304 SS too. For what i can see, my expectation are that the Lachute exhaust won't rust/have leak after months, compare to some exhaust sold in great quantity. Plus the sound from the video is insane. If you compare with other video from other maker, the lachute catback doesn't drone or have a lose metal sound... I higly recommend this catback. Lachute Performance are real professional ! No Mufflers: This is also known as a Muffler Delete. This is louder than the other two options for obvious reasons, but still sounds good. In cabin noise is greater than that of the muffled options as well. This option is good if you want the "race car" sound with out the unfinished "race car" look and you are not planning on upgrading other portions of your exhaust. A Caveat here, if you are sensitive to noise or don't like loud exhaust, this option is not for you. 4" Mufflers: These are our hand built mufflers with 4" outer diameter and 8" length. They are center inlet, center outlet and are constructed entirely from T304L Stainless Steel right here in our facility by our crack team of fabricators. The sound of these is less than the muffler delete but greater than the 5" mufflers. This option is the best for those who like a bit of volume to their exhaust but don't want the "race car" noise and are not planning to upgrade other portions of the exhaust. This option is also suitable for those who like a loud exhaust and are planning on upgrading their downpipe or their downpipe and overpipe. 5" Mufflers: The dimensions of these hand built mufflers are 5" diameter with a body length of 8" and offset inlet/outlet. These mufflers are the best option for a nice smooth exhaust note. The tone is nice and deep with volume being mellow with stock exhaust otherwise. When you decide to upgrade to an aftermarket downpipe or overpipe/downpipe combo, this exhaust really comes alive while remaining deep and smooth sounding. This axleback even keeps the volume down at a tolerable level with our catless header. All three cater to how you're doing your exhaust setup and how loud you want it to go. I'm personally going with the 4" muffler setup with the 3" inlet on the Axleback and still plan to do header and a downpipe. It will be loud like the way I want it, but not insane like a muffler delete. I would say the Lachute is a bit louder than the center setup even because they replace the stock resonator. Nameless keeps the stock midpipe in their setup as they didn't see any gains from changing it out which keeps the price down on the system as a whole. |

I'm okay with what you said about Nameless keeping the midpipe. But if you plan going turbo, you will need a more than 2.25'' pipe to let that extra air out!
If you plan staying NA, nameless is a better option tough... |
