Is anyone making a seat lowering bracket?

I love the factory buckets and replacing is beyond my price range but I'd like more headroom without having to lean my seat back further. I'm only 5'11 but I have short-ish legs so all of my height is in my torso. With a helmet on, I'm millimeters off of the roof (I have to lower the shield even if I want it open as it slams the roof).

Is anyone making a custom bracket? Or can someone on here fab one and put it up for sale? If anyone knows a fab shop in Florida interested in building one, I'll be glad to donate my time to help and use my car as a template.

Our driver is 6'2" so we understand the need for more head room. we are currently working on seat brackets for the stock seats. The goal is to keep the seat functioning as it was stock from the dealer. I will keep you updated and post pictures as soon as we have them track test.

How much of drop are you expecting? 6'2" here and would like more headroom - I don't mind the stock seats one bit either. As is stock, I can just barely squeeze my fingers/hand between my helmet and the headliner (less than 1/2" gap) in the best position I can manage. An ~2" drop would be ideal if it could be achieved and I know it can be achieved with aftermarket racing seats and a low profile mount. I could live with a 1" drop though if all I have to do is swap out the drivers and can keep the stock seats.

Awesome information. Is there a rough ETA on them being built/tested?

You know that as long as you are in stock or RT that's not going to be legal... Fine in STX, but not in stock category rules

Sam i'm not going to say I know those rules like the back of my hand. However if the modification is for the safety of the driver then I'm sure the tech will pass them. however i will have my team look into the rules and see if i can provide additional information.

I currently have one set made for our car and we are scheduled for a track event on 3/23-3-24 at Chuckawala Raceway. I don't have the final measurement at this time but i will get you the information asap. Our goal is to make them as low as possible and allow the stock seat to function the way it came from the factor.

Thanks for the info Sam. I'm already in STX so no problem here.
