Driving: Technique

Can we assemble a thread filled with technical driving information? Out of the thousands and thousands of posts concerning everything from tinting the side mirrors to fitting 50" rims there's rarely a post on the point of it all, driving itself.

And what with this being a drivers' car....

I'll start off with a link on steering:

http://www.trackpedia.com/wiki/Steering_techniques

The entire website seems to be quite useful:

There are some good books on the subject of driving...

Bob Bondurant on High Performance Driving

Secrets of Solo Racing - Harry Watts

Drive to Win - Carrol Smith

Going Faster - Mastering the Art of Race Driving (Skip Barber Racing) - Carl Lopez

A Twist of the Wrist (motorcycles, but has some nice concepts for anyone) - Keith Code

Good post. My personal favorite is Speed Secrets by Ross Bentley. I've also been through Carrol Smith's and the Barber book and they're both fantastic.

Stock FRS loves a bit of trail braking to get the nose in... definitely learn that.
