Touch&Go navi night mode

I usually keep my navi night/day mode in auto. However, I think it goes to night mode way too early, making it hard to read in the daytime. A slightly overcast day will trigger night mode. Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity of this?

I've noticed this too. It also reacts rather quickly - sometimes it changes into night mode when driving under a highway overpass. I think it follows the automatic DRL/headlights but I haven't found a way to adjust it. Apparently the sensor is the one on top of the dashboard.

I'm sure the navi and the DRLs use the same sensor. I'll have a go at Toyota and see if they can do something about it. The navi as it is is pretty much useless unless its a sunny day.

Toyota got back to me. The sensor sensitivity is adjustable through their diagnostic interface. Definitely getting that done.
