what issues are there for GT owners considering the different setup from the factory? I'm not sure if the callipers are different master cylinder etc... anyone know?

GT has:
277mm vented front discs
286mm solid rear discs

GTS has:
294mm vented front discs
290mm vented rear discs

GTS discs cannot be used on a GT with the GT callipers. I believe the mount part of the front callipers is different and the rear callipers are different units. I'm unsure if there are any other differences in the braking circuits, but I wouldn't think so.

Theory has it that the GT's brakes will fade before the GTS's.

I don't carry them in stock, but they'll be ready to ship within a couple of days of an order being placed.

I am currently working on a kit with Wilwood calipers and DBA discs. But it wont be ready for a month or two.
I do have available AP Racing brake upgrades. 330mm DBA rotors with 4 pot AP calipers up front and 316mm DBA rotors and 2 pot AP calipers at the back. If you know AP Racing then you'll understand this is top of the line stuff.

The main difference is in the alloy used to make the discs. The 4000 Series (T3 slotted) are more of a track day/racing disc where else the Street Series (T2 slotted) are street discs. Much more information is available in the links in the first post.

That's an STI 316mm rotor, and will not fit the 86/BRZ.
May work with STI calipers though
