front door 6" speaker replacement mount
got a pair of 6" kickers lying around but after ripping the door panel out, i figured out that i cant just do a simple swap. having trouble mounting the kickers as the hole in the door is too big from my 6".
whats the best way to mount these. need some sort of mounting brackets. |

Search - Spacers, you can get them in different materials and size's but depending on the depth of your speakers they might be to deep.

ive been doing ebay search for spacers.and all of them are spec'd for 6.5", where as my kickers are 6". so im thinking that they dnt fit as the speaker will just drop right thru the hole, and 5.75" spacers might be too small

Follow the link whataboutbob posted in post #3. They will make the adapters specifically for your speakers.

That or if you are in a hurry, you might be able to grab a set of Chrysler speaker adapters (metra part 82-6600) and a half inch spacer from your local car audio dealer. I've done this tons of times in different brands of vehicles. Some speakers come with the "chrysler plate" so you'd just need the 1/2" spacer. Just grab a small pack of sound deadener (dynamat, etc...) to make sure the potential gaps are sealed...
