Arrow An Unusual Photoshoot (Need opinion!)

So we were primarily shooting in this barn for a local western suppliers store. However I had the FR-S with me and after seeing the new viper shots in the barn:

I thought that might be a cool twist to the regular car shots. Since (nameless model) was there we decided to just combine everything and see what turned out.

Photography side of things: I had 1 construction light to work with and that is it. Being low-light it was hard to expose properly, and having a person involved i couldn't do a long exposure. So conditions wise, it was def a new challenge!

Also, since it was a barn, within 5 minutes the car had a layer of dust on it so... the swirls are from trying to keep it clean-ish with whatever cleaning stuff i had on me

By no means my best work, but I'd love to get some feedback/opinions?

Cool concept, but the lighting is off a bit. Not sure how to fix that, but that's the main issue. Thinking maybe more diffused light might help out a bit to take those harsh glares away

and/or covering some of the windows so the lighting is more controlled?

For sure...covering the windows/lights will diffuse the lighting anyway...even using a thin sheet will diffuse the light, creating more even lighting. That amber-colored barn light is also throwing off the pic coloring a bit - you might be able to adjust that in post-processing, though.

I find it strangely attractive seeing a southern looking girl with a FRS in a barn

I think it'd help a little if you cleaned the car. I see dusts and smears in some pics.

^ +1 The paint looks horrendous! I'm also not fan of girls posing next to cars. Nice idea though:happy0180:

Background is too much in focus taking away from the car. Decrease the depth of field or move the subjects farther from the wall. I always prefer natural lighting as well. Cool idea.

I do like the pictures overall, and the ladies a real cutie.

But yeah, the swirl marks are very distracting and I think an off camera flash or strobe to fill in the shadows on the girl and car would have helped things some. With just the one work light, I'd have positioned it so that they aren't lit from behind but from the top or closer to the camera.

I still like the pictures though =p
