Need yall's opinion
Alrighty, new here, had the car for 3 weeks now, got the chirping and the idle drop issues and posting out of frustration. I know the in and out of the problems, so no need for the "go here" or go search.
Took the car in monday cause i had recevied the blessing of the CEL over the weekend, i reset it(unhooked the battery), and went about trying to recreate the scenario. Turns out it comes on if i sit for a long period of time(long lights, left running to run into store, etc.) after getting to operating temps. Cleared codes, took it dealership the first chance i got. Well code hadn't came back since last cleared(sunday morning), took it in, told them what was up, and also mentioned the di cricket. Well since the code didn't come back, they decide that im just crazy i guess, decide to replace the di pump, and are blaming the idle drop on that. But the thing is the pump wont be here until friday or next monday... I'm about to the point of taking it back and worrying about it when the CEL comes back.... Any opinions? |

Tell me about it...... SMH
![]() But the main reason i want to take it back, is so that i can get the CEL to come back, just so i can bring it right back, and show them that " hey i know wtf is up, don't blow me off" cause at this point it just seems they are just throwing parts at it, and don't know shit about our cars yet at this dealership IMO God i miss my car

Weird that it comes on when you sit for a long period of time. Everyday I leave work I leave my car sitting running in the parking lot while I smoke a cigarette and let the a/c cool down my car and I have not had any problems. Hope I don't get a CEL.
Good luck with your experience.

I do the very same, but like i said it only does it when im up to operating temps/ driving for a while. It has never happened after start up and it's been sitting for awhile. And i really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, cause this is so frustrating.
