She's finally here!!!
Picked her up on Saturday and can honestly say I'm blown away with the car. I've already done a smidge over 500kms and can't wait till she is broken in and I can open her up properly.

For the moment I will be. But its hard to find the time to keep the Celica in as good a condition as I'd like. Plus parts are getting hard to come by so I'm going to have a serious think about it.

Warmed it up good. redlined a few times up until 1000km's... ( redline daily now, actually everytime i drive ) didnt punish it with low revs freeway driving.. stuck to the back streets ... and rev'd it enough to not drive like a grandma... |

I have heard it before & I reckon this is good advice for a brand new engine. You're not thrashing it, it just needs full throttle acceleration for that "big-bang" as much as possible - the best way to seal those rings. If 80% of the wear-in happens within 40km then an oil change is also a great idea as is driving on back streets. Great stuff ! |
