Prototype Buddy Club big brake kit.

We just received a prototype of the Buddy Club Big Brake Kit for Toyota 86. We threw put it on the FRS here on the lift and it bolts up quite nicely. The kit will not clear the stock wheels so we put an 18x8.5 +40 SF Challenge wheel on it to get an idea of how it will look with wheels in front of them.
We haven't had an opportunity to get it on the road yet, so stay tuned for more info and feel free to ask any questions.
Details on the kit so far:
4 piston mono block calipers
330mmx28mm two piece rotors
Stainless steel lines
Mounting brackets

Buddy Club does not to compare itself to anyone else's products. If you do a just little bit of side by side comparison you should find that there is little to no similarities between the two. And to my knowledge k-sport does not offer a mono block caliper option.

It is a Buddy Club Caliper and is exported from Japan. As to the exact location of the facility, I am not sure.
It weighs 6 pounds
piston sizes are 36mm and 40mm

they manufacture their own brake caliper?

And sorry, I should have been more specific. How much does the kit including pads weigh? Just looking for how it compares to the stock weight.

The car left here yesterday and wont be back for roughly a week. As soon as I get the info I will edit the original post.

BTW the calipers are also available in orange color that closely resembles Imola Orange.

Does that very ridged looking bridge on the calipers keep the pads from coming out the top? If so, they ought to go back to the drawing board.

That is a strategically placed "Stiffening Bridge" to maximize structural rigidity of the caliper under extreme heat and heavy hydraulic pressure. This is now a technology that Brembo is implementing in their GT monoblock calipers, and im pretty sure there is quite a bit of money and time is spent on their drawing boards. It should only add about an extra minute when changing pads.
