Custom Exhaust - suggestions welcome

Hi everyone,

Over the next two weeks I'll be getting a custom exhaust made at a local shop that specializes in Subarus. Hopefully Toyobarus soon too. Anyway, I'm open to suggestions at this time.

The exhaust will start as a midpipe and axleback. Front pipe and overpipe may come later, depending on what I decide to do overall with my car.

I definitely want dual outlet. No drone. 3.5-4" tips. We may go with two small mufflers behind the axle or a single muffler before the axle going to a Y-pipe after. The shop owner also suggested a larger midpipe, possibly 3", as he thought it could only help.

Regardless, I will dyno tune whatever exhaust I end up getting, and I'll gladly post the results with a baseline.

Please let me know your thoughts/suggestions/criticisms. We should be getting started sometime this week or early next week.

~Jeff

Sounds like you have a good plan. I think for cost effectiveness and simplicity, a single muffler before the axle would be the best.

I agree. May even start with no muffler so it would be pretty streamlined compared to other muffler deletes since the elbow would be gone.
